Tissue Biomarkers

The Tissue Biomarkers Team in NBC has broad-ranging expertise in molecular histopathology, enabling detailed and highly multiplexed phenotypic profiling of protein biomarkers in tissue samples via immunohistochemical methods (chromogenic and fluorescence-based) on whole tissue sections and in-house developed tissue microarrays (TMAs). The team has expertise in various automated staining platforms and in the design and use of multplexed molecular barcoding and integrated transcriptomics approaches. Image analysis using state-of-the art software, including with AI modules, allows integration of these data with our other ‘omic’ data. This wealth of data spans NBC research interests from preclinical pharmacology through to sample analysis in clinical trials and supports our overarching goals to further our understanding of cancer and deliver better outcomes for patients.
